Compared to most other loyalty programs, Hilton Honors points are worth a lot less. However, they make up for it with several double or triple bonus points promotions throughout the year.
With the latest ‘Double Your Stay’ promotion, Hilton is offering 2x points for all stays.
Hilton ‘Double Your Stay’ promotion – 6th September to 31st December 2022.
Once you have registered for the offer, you can earn 2x points on your stays at participating Hilton Properties worldwide.
The offer is valid for stays completed between September 6 and December 31, 2022. If your check in date is before September 6th, but the check-out date is within the promotion period, you should still be eligible for the promotion.
Of course, you should be registered for the promotion.
2000 bonus points per stay
You can also earn a bonus of 2000 Hilton Honors points per stay, if you check out between Monday and Friday. It might not be worth extending your stay, only for 2000 points.
Earning calculations
Hilton has shared the following examples to help calculate the points earning.
Example A: An Honors member stays 2 nights at $100 a night and earns 2,000 Base Points and 2,000 Bonus Points for a total of 4,000 Points. The checkout is on a Thursday.
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 2 Nights = 2,000 Base Points
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 2 Nights = 2,000 Bonus Points
- 2,000 Bonus Points for check-out on Thursday
Example B: An Honors member stays 4 nights at $100 a night and earns 4,000 Base Points and 4,000 Bonus Points for a total of 8,000 Points. The checkout is on a Saturday.
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 4 Nights = 4,000 Base Points
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 4 Nights = 4,000 Bonus Points
- No additional Bonus Points for check-out on a Saturday
