Earning extra points is always satisfying. In fact, for some of us obsessed souls here, it’s as important as a good bed and breakfast at a property.

Combine it with some excellent discounts, and you have us salivating.

Accor is offering 3x reward points at participating properties in Canada, the USA, Mexico, and Panama.

What’s interesting is that you can get good discounts as well by combining it with the excellent Black Friday promotion by Accor.

You need to register for the offer first to be eligible for 3x reward points.

The promotion is valid for stays till April 30th, 2022 for bookings made by January 5th, 2022.

Be careful with the redemption

Accor has an annoying policy of not rewarding any points, and thereby promotional benefits, for stays with even a partial redemption.

So if you even redeem a small number of points for a booking, you become ineligible to earn any points for that booking. Doesn’t matter even if your cash component runs in several hundred or thousands of dollars.

Simple advice - Redeem for full or don’t redeem at all. That’s how it works the best.

Conclusion

This is a great opportunity to earn extra points and I would just register for the promotion right away anyway.

It’s better this way so you don’t have to remember it before booking.
