Earn Taj points on groceries, medicines, flights and more

Taj InnerCircle is now a part of NeuPass program. NeuPass is Tata Group's loyalty program for several of its brands.

Tata Group, owner of Taj Hotels, have just launched their group wide loyalty program called NeuPass.

As of now, Taj hotels has switched to the same program. Yes, there is no Taj InnerCircle program anymore.

TataNeu is a pretty interesting program. For purchases made at all the participating apps and services, you earn NeuCoins. These NeuCoins can be redeemed at any of the same participating services.

TataNeu App

If you purchase any of the services directly through TataNeu, you will earn a minimum of 5% as NeuCoins.

Each NeuCoin can be redeemed for Re.1.

Some programs can offer higher earn rate. e.g., Taj Gold members will earn 7% of their points as NeuCoins.

How does TataNeu affect Taj Hotels loyalty program.

A lot has changed, still the overall program and benefits are more or less the same.

There is no Taj InnerCircle anymore. Everything that was part of Taj InnerCircle, is now a part of NeuPass.

You earn NeuCoins instead of Taj InnerCircle Points. Your loyalty status will now be added as a badge in NeuPass - Copper Badge, Silver Badge, Gold Badge.

All other benefits remain the same.

However, the most significant change is that you can earn Taj points (NeuCoins) much faster now. 5% is a good value to earn on daily groceries, gadgets, medicines etc. It can add up pretty quickly.

Conclusion

It’s exciting to be able to earn Taj points almost daily. Think of it as a reward for daily activities.

However, how the program actually turns out, only time can tell.

There is already a big red flag here. We are used to some great app experiences. Unfortunately, TataNeu app is not yet there. I can already see that it might be very frustrating to use it every day.

On the other hand, if you are allowed to earn NeuCoins even if you shop directly at Tata Cliq, 1mg, BigBasket etc, then it’s a different story.

I really hope that’s the case.
