JAL Mileage Bank is kicking off 2026 with a straightforward award sale. If you’ve been sitting on JMB miles, this is a decent window to put them to work.

Book international award tickets at reduced mileage rates between January 7, 2026 (00:00 JST) and January 16, 2026 (23:59 JST). No registration required – the discounted rates appear automatically when you search for award availability.

Headline rates (one-way):

  • Singapore: 9,100 miles Economy / 17,500 miles Premium Economy
  • Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City: 9,100 miles Economy / 21,000 miles Business
  • Manila: 7,000 miles Economy / 16,800 miles Business
  • Bangkok-Tokyo: 9,450 miles Economy / 28,000 miles Business
  • Delhi (Narita): 12,250 miles Economy / 28,000 miles Business
  • Bengaluru: 12,250 miles Economy / 28,000 miles Business
  • Honolulu-Nagoya: 14,000 miles Economy / 21,000 miles Premium Economy
  • Sydney: 16,100 miles Economy
  • Melbourne: 17,500 miles Economy

Travel Windows

The catch – as always – is the travel date restrictions:

  • Hawaii (Honolulu): January 8 – January 31, 2026
  • Southeast & South Asia: April 1 – September 30, 2026
  • Australia (Sydney/Melbourne): June 1 – July 10, 2026 departing Japan; June 1–18 and July 13–31, 2026 departing Oceania

Good to Know

  • Eligibility: JAL Mileage Bank members worldwide
  • Award type: Basic mileage awards only – Award Ticket PLUS bookings are excluded
  • Route restrictions: Business class on Singapore is not eligible; Delhi-Haneda route excluded (Narita only)
  • Blackouts: Golden Week, Obon, and autumn holiday periods are blocked
  • Connections: Domestic connections (excluding Ryukyu Air Commuter) can be included

The Verdict

The Southeast Asia rates are genuinely competitive. 9,100 miles to Singapore or Vietnam in Economy is hard to beat, and 7,000 miles to Manila is the standout. The 12,250-mile pricing to Delhi and Bengaluru offers solid value for India-bound JMB members.

The Australia window is tight (roughly 5-6 weeks), and Hawaii is even tighter at just over three weeks – but if your dates align, the savings are real.

Bottom Line

A clean, no-registration-required sale with some useful routes. The 10-day booking window is short, so check availability early. Best value is on the SE Asia routes – particularly Vietnam, Singapore, and Manila. India routes (Delhi/Bengaluru) are worth a look if you’ve got JMB miles to burn before year-end.
