Best Western Rewards is the loyalty program for over 4,700 Best Western resorts and hotels worldwide. This massive chain offers properties ranging from budget-friendly to upscale options.
While the loyalty program itself might not be as exciting as Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors, Best Western’s promotions are some of the best out there. If you have an upcoming stay at a Best Western property, having elite status can enhance your experience significantly.

How to apply for a Status Match with Best Western Rewards?
There are two ways to apply for a status match with Best Western Rewards:
Option 1: Email Them
You can email the following details to StatusMatch@bestwestern.com (for members from Europe, use bwr.service@bestwestern.com):
- Full Name
- Full Address
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Best Western Rewards Member Number
- Proof of Elite Status in another hotel program: Screenshot or copy of your other program’s loyalty card or account statement

Option 2: Online Application Form
Alternatively, you can fill out and submit the online status match application form.
In my experience, emailing (Option 1) tends to work better.
How Long Does It Take?
The status match process is manual, meaning someone has to review your documents, verify them, possibly request additional details, and then approve your application. The timeline may vary case by case.
The good news is that Best Western isn’t overly strict about the status match criteria. If you meet their requirements, you should get approved without much hassle.
While my own process was quicker, I recommend allowing a buffer of 20–30 days for everything to be finalized.
