Best Western Rewards is the loyalty program for over 4700 Best Western resorts and hotels worldwide. It’s a massive chain of hotels and has properties right from budget to upscale ones.
Unfortunately, the loyalty program in itself is not as exciting and rewarding like say Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors. However, Best Western promotions are some of the best ones out there.
Regardless of the other factors, if you have an upcoming stay at a Best Western property, it’s always great to have an elite status, just like any other hotel chain.
Best Western allows you to match your status with them to the elite status you have with other programs. It’s called Best Western Rewards - Status Match No Catch Promotion.

Best Western - How to apply for a status match?
There are 2 ways you can apply for a status match with Best Western.
Option 1
Email the following details to StatusMatch@bestwestern.com
- Full Name
- Full Address
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Best Western Rewards Member Number
- Proof of Elite status in another hotel program: Screenshot or copy of your other program’s loyalty card or account statement.

Option 2
You can also fill and submit the online status match application form.
However, in my experience, emailing (Option 1) works better.
How long does it take to status match with Best Western?
Like every other status match process, this one is also a manual process. That means someone has to go through your documents, verify them, mail you back for additional details if required, and then approve it.
So the timeline may vary from case to case. The good news is that Best Western is not that fussy about the status match. If you meet the criteria, you should get it easily.
Even though it happened much quicker in my case, I would recommend keeping a buffer of 20-30 days for the process to complete.
