Buy Hilton Points before December 7th, 2021 and you can get 100% bonus points. You need to buy a minimum of 10,000 points to get the bonus.
The regular price for 10,000 points is 100$. Under this promotion, you get 20,000 Hilton Honors points for the same price.
You can buy up to 80,000 (+ 80,000 bonus) points under this promotion.
The number of packages are limited under this promotion. e.g. as of now only 20,000 + 20,000, 40,000 + 40,000 and 80,000 + 80,000 Hilton Honor points packages are available for me.
Is it worth buying Hilton Honors points?
Well, it depends. If you regularly redeem Hilton Honors points and are falling short of some points for a booking, a buy point promotion is the best purchase window you can get.
If you just want to collect points because they are cheap, I am not sure if that’s a good idea. In my experience, you should only buy points if you have a clear use for them in immediate future.
If you compare the value of a night booked on cash versus a night booked on points purchased 100% via cash, more often than not, the night booked on cash turns out to be better.
However, this might not be true in every situation.
Will your purchased Hilton Honors points expire?
Yes and No.
There is no specific expiry or validity for purchased Hilton Honors points. However, all Hilton Honors points expire after 15 months of inactivity in your account.
Fortunately, it’s pretty simple to extend the validity of your Hilton Honors points.
It’s not easy to decide whether you need to buy points or skip the promotion. My advice - if you are not sure, don’t buy.
Remember it’s not just about the points required for redemption, you also end up losing points you would have earned while paying cash.
