Marriott has an interesting program for employees of select corporates – Marriott BreakAway Program.
This is a different rate from the corporate rates your company has negotiated with Marriott.
Marriott BreakAway is a global discounted rate program meant specifically for leisure travel of employees of select corporates. Unlike your regular corporate rate, it doesn’t need to be a business trip booked by your company.
In fact, Marriott BreakAway rates are NOT valid for business trips.
You can search for and book the discounted rates here.
Even though you don’t need to book this rate via your company’s travel desk or HR, you will still need to present a valid employee ID card during check-in.
Good news is that several hotels offer multiple room categories for this promotion. So, you have a chance to book a better room at a discount.
Hotel stays booked using Marriott BreakAway rates are eligible for Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite status. You can probably combine it with a few points-based Marriott promotions as well.
