IHG Ambassador is a pretty solid program anyway. This promotion makes it a no-brainer.

- Stay 2 nights with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, or Regent Hotels & Resorts by 31 January 2023.
- Get 20,000 bonus points.
You can buy IHG Ambassador membership for either USD 200 or 40,000 points. It makes more sense to pay USD 200 as 40,000 IHG points are worth a bit more than 200 USD.
You get IHG Platinum elite status, a BOGO certificate and certain guaranteed benefits with the membership. The BOGO certificate can be easily redeemed for more than the cost of membership.
Good to know
- To qualify for the 20,000 bonus points, each of the two nights must be part of one or more Qualifying Stays.
- A Qualifying Stay is defined as a minimum 1-night stay booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding $30 USD (or local equivalent) per night.
- The “Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night” (BOGO certificate) rate is a Qualifying Rate, and the complimentary night may be counted towards the two nights needed to qualify for the additional 20,000 bonus points.
