ITC Hotels has partnered with Marriott Bonvoy to offer select hotels on their platform. This partnership allows guests to book ITC hotels through Marriott, earn and burn points, and enjoy elite status benefits during their stays.

ITC Hotels, one of India’s better hotel chains, is a part of the ITC Group, a multinational conglomerate with business interests in FMCG, Hotels, Paperboards, Packaging, Agri Business, IT, etc.

Note that ITC Hotels is not a part of the Marriott group; they have simply collaborated with Marriott to offer a select number of ITC hotels as part of the Marriott’s Luxury Collection.

Exceptional redemption value for Marriott Bonvoy points.

In certain cases, ITC offers an excellent value when it comes to redeeming your Marriott Bonvoy points. Most ITC hotels available to book with Marriott are well-maintained luxury properties.

And surprisingly, they are often available for fewer points compared to other Marriott hotels. Sometime even lower than a Westin or even Courtyard. This isn’t always the case with every property, though.

In my experience, weekends get you the maximum value for your Marriott points when using them to book a stay at ITC hotels.

Numerous Indian banks now allow you to transfer points to Marriott Bonvoy, making it quite straightforward to accumulate Marriott Bonvoy points using credit cards in India.

Marriott Bonvoy or Club ITC?

ITC Hotels also has its independent loyalty program called Club ITC. Club ITC is a popular program. However, unless you’re a frequent guest at ITC hotels, the Marriott Bonvoy program generally offers better overall value for booking these properties. Keep in mind that not all ITC Hotels can be booked through Marriott.

In the past, I have stayed at an ITC property with my then Silver Elite Marriott account and once at another property as Club ITC Gold.

I was offered an upgrade when I checked in as Marriott Silver. Refused as Club ITC Gold. There were some extra benefits that were offered with Marriott, like complimentary drink etc. Nothing with Club ITC Gold.

This was surprising considering my stay at Marriott was redeemed using points, while my stay at Club ITC was paid for out-of-pocket.
